We work to build public support for measures that protect the health of California’s Latino communities, including:

Ending oil drilling and oil wells in our neighborhoods and among our farms and lands.
2.
Making oil companies clean up the mess they left in our communities during decades of drilling in our midst.
3.
Adopting measures that promote clean transportation, including electric vehicles, electric charging infrastructure, and lithium technology.
They harm our health
- The contamination they cause is slowly killing our Latino families.
- In California, nearly half of Latinos live in communities with poor air quality.
- Latino kids living with higher levels of air pollution have a higher risk for Type 2 diabetes.
- In California, 8 out of 10 Latino kids under age 10 live in the most highly polluted areas.
- Latino kids living with high air pollution run a 70 percent higher risk of hospitalization with asthma attacks and are twice as likely to die from it.
- Pregnant women exposed to traffic-related pollution are more likely to give birth prematurely.
They lie to us
- While community leaders take real steps to protect our families from air pollution, oil companies spend millions to protect their profits at our expense.
- California has passed laws to limit drilling near schools, nursing homes, and hospitals. Now Big Oil is trying to roll them back.
- To continue the damage, they need your vote and will do and say anything to fool us. We will not let them.
